Research area

My area of interest is very broad due to the interdisciplinary nature of my educational and practical background, which includes biotechnology, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, physical chemistry and polymer chemistry, and more recently, materials engineering focused on nanomaterials. Due to the widespread knowledge of the above-mentioned fields, I attempt to combine the information available in the literature together with the results of experimental work to find an elucidation of the mechanism of conjugated polymer affinity toward single- walled carbon nanotubes of different diameters and chiralities. For this purpose, I employ well-known techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, UV-VIS-NIR, MALDI, GPC chromatography and calorimetric methods such as DSC and TGA.



Hobbies

I like to spend my free time playing computer games, planning vacation trips, editing photographs, brewing beers or watching TV series.

Research area

My scientific interests lie in the field of separation of single-walled carbon nanotubes, especially in an aqueous solution. I have spent last years studying separation of SWCNTs by aqueous two-phase extraction and the interaction of surfactants with nanotubes. Currently, I am focused on the development of new extraction systems, purification of separated fractions and further processing of isolated monochiral SWCNTs. My areas of interest also include analytical techniques that allow for convenient characterization of nanomaterials.



Hobbies

I spend my free time actively doing sports. My hobbies also include zoology, history, evolution of languages and cinematography.
